Most of the residential plumbing distribution networks in Bahrain are made in a way that the main supply pipe is laid on the roof exposed to the sun. As a result, the water gets very hot during summer and cold in winter.
The house owners normally install water coolers to cool the water in the tank, which help reduce the water temperature and make it usable during daytime. However, due to the exposure to the sun, the user ought to flush the hot water in the pipeline until the cold water of the tank reaches the tap. The quantity of water wasted in drain in each house is estimated to be 150-200 litre/day (4000-6000 litre/month).
The traditional solution is to cover the pipes with insulation. However, this solution has not been found feasible as the effectiveness is low, and the cost is unjustified.
Onesta Facility Management have invented OnestaSAVE technique, that ensures the availability of cold water in the pipes at any time of the day and eliminates the water wastage.
OnestaSAVE proved its effectiveness and reliability and has been well appreciated by all clients that have used.
The basic idea of OnestaSAVE is to automatically circulate the water in the pipe every hour and return it to the water tank, which is already cooled by water cooler. Such circulation will ensure the hot water is always replaced by the cold water in the water tank. OnestaSAVE will required the availability of tank cooler and pressure pump.
OnestaSave is also effective in winter where the water in the pipe is cold and the cold water is normally drained until the warm water in the tank reaches the tap. Using OnestaSAVE will help making the water in the pipes warm around the clock.
The installation of OnestaSAVE costs BD65 approximately. However, the cost depends on the plumbing network in each house and can only be decided after the site visit.
